About
I’m a Chef, most importantly a passionate chef with integrity. I’m a forward thinker with 25 years experience in the hospitality sector encompassing restaurants, hotels, fine dining and events large and small. 17 of those years were spent within wine tourism regions working with premium brands. I have developed strong ties to producers, community and industry and this together with some hard work and determination has rewarded me with 3 consecutive chefs hats across multiple venues amongst many other accolades and achievements.
I have always been enthusiastic about training and mentoring others in the workplace, this has enabled me to build some incredible teams over the years and develop enduring relationships with likeminded colleagues and professionals. I formalised and strengthened my approach to training with my TAE40116 certificate 4 in Training and assessment. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm and approach with future learners.
Not only am I confident and proven in my abilities within the kitchen, I hold a level headed approach financially, having formed a strong understanding and healthy habits managing my departments costs as well as previous business endeavours in other fields. I am competent in establishing compliance and creating safe and practical working environments and workflows with qualifications in food safety.
I am a creative thinker and big believer in sending a clear representation to a target audience. In addition to the conventional skillsets in the hospitality sector, I have a passion for story telling. I have refined my skills in food photography and videography to support promotional content through visual medium.
last and most importantly, I’m a father to 3 growing boys and husband to my loving wife. We enjoy a coastal lifestyle and foster a healthy active upbringing. We are passionate about gardening, nature, sport the ocean and of course all things…food.
